Well, today’s post will be the last post until Monday, after we get back from vacation. Not doing anything too crazy, just making a little trip down to Ocean City, Maryland with our siblings. Should be a fun trip and one I’ve certainly been looking forward to.

Quick post this morning, one with more fisheye goodness. I am really going to miss sending this lens back, but I guess all good things must come to an end. This is a shot of the Smithfield Street Bridge, which will take you from Station Square, at the far end of the South Side, into downtown Pittsburgh. There is a fairly large area of raised concrete right before the bridge starts, and it lends itself nicely to standing on with a tripod. I waited until all the traffic went back, jumped the wall, over to the platform, set up, waited for traffic to clear out again, and snapped the brackets.
This is a seven shot HDR processed with Photomatix and CS5. First I had to get rid of those pesky dust spots in the sky and on the bridge, and mask in the upper right hand corner of the frame, as it was a little dark from the HDR process. I desaturated the overall image, then added an S Curve to increase the contrast. Added the standard Pro and Tonal Contrast filter in Color Efex. Added a slight Turbo Boost in onOne PhotoTools as well as a Progressive Sharpening and called it a day.
I hope that you all enjoy the weekend. I’ll catch everyone on Monday.

Great shot Dave!
Great POV Dave, you gave that fisheye a workout!
Amazing fisheye Dave and of course the lines! Great processing as always
Awesome Dave! Love me a bridge shot! Great symmetry and lines to this one!
I love this shot Dave, it feels like the bridge is against a mirror image of itself. Very cool!
