Back to basics

First off, thank you for all of the support on my last couples shots of Riley and Act of Pardon.  It’s always fun to step off your normal path and post something different and I appreciate all the visits and comments on them.

Today we head back to Buffalo and Delaware Park, where my wife and I were a few months back for a wedding.  The lake at the park offered a perfect opportunity to capture some reflections, and I was more than happy to oblige.  I had posted a picture a while back of the center of the lake, but for this one I turn my camera 90 degrees to the right to get some of the other going ons around the lake into the shot.  We saw about three different weddings come through, skateboarders, people walking their dogs, runners and pretty much everything else you could possibly imagine in a park.  Since we had some time to kill between the ceremony and the reception, we made a little lap around the lake, then just sat on the wall and enjoyed the day.  And took a few pictures of course.

Pretty standard processing on this one.  I took the five handheld exposures and ran them through Photomatix then loaded the HDR into Photoshop.  Masked in the +2 tonemapped layer for the moving people and decreased overall saturation.  I then did selective saturation on the greens to make them pop a bit more and finally added my standard Tonal Contrast and Pro Contrast filters in Color Efex.

Thanks for stopping by everyone.  Catch you tomorrow.
