After a couple of days off, today we are back to the HDRs and we also head back up to the Cathedral of Learning.  This is a little bit of a different take on the last couple views I’ve been posting, as I brought my tripod away from the window and into the center of the room that we were camped out in.  The sun was falling just in the corner of the window frame and the view gave just a glimpse of the middle of Oakland (through the left window) and downtown Pittsburgh (through the right).  The one thing that I did forgot was my lens hood, hence all the lens glare.  I normally wouldn’t have posted this shot, but despite the glare, I liked the shot anyways.

This is a nine exposure HDR that I processed in Photomatix and edited in CS5.  I first added a Pro Contrast filter in Color Efex, as the tones were a bit too warm for my taste.  Then in onOne PhotoTools I added Dreamland, Omaha Beach, Turbo Boost and Blue Dawn Leonidas filters.  Finally, back in Color Efex, I added a Tonal Contrast filter just to the parts of the city you can see through the window.  Cloned out a few dust spot, gave it a quick crop and shipped it off to HDR Exposed.

Thanks for stopping by today everyone.  See you tomorrow.
