Morning everyone. I’ve been a bit busy the last few days with pictures from Penn State and a recent band show that I did that I haven’t been able to really process any new HDRs, so today’s shot is one from the archives. I took this over the summer on a little stroll through downtown Pittsburgh, and this particular view is from the Liberty Bridge in the Steel City. One of the great things about being a photographer in Pittsburgh is that the city is so photogenic, it looks good from almost every angle.
This is a seven exposure HDR processed with Photomatix and Photoshop. I added an overall S curve for contrast then masked in a small piece of the clouds at the back of the scene as they were a little blown out. Added a Dreamland, Turbo Boost and Clarity filter in onOne PhotoTools and a Tonal Contrast filter from Color Efex to everything by the sky. Finally gave it a quick crop and called it a day.
Thanks for stopping by today everyone. See you all tomorrow.

Beautiful skyline shot Dave. I love how incorporating water into the shot adds so much to a city scene. Great job.
