Different type of garden

Good morning everyone and welcome back to all of you who enjoyed an extended holiday weekend; I know that I did.  I had some much needed time off, spent time with family and great friends and it was an all around great break.  Back to reality and the working life today, though with only 15 working days left for me in 2011, the Christmas holiday and two weeks off can’t come soon enough.

A quick post today as I get going back in the work week.  These are a couple of shots from the Fort Worth Water Gardens, an area right in downtown that we probably would not have visited if it weren’t for the advice of Cliff Baise who suggested that we swing by and I’m glad that we did.  It was certainly something unlike anything I’d seen before and for once I spent more time just sort of looking around instead of taking pictures.  There are various different types of aquatic, um, well, gardens that you can walk in and around.  The one pictured above was our favorite, as you could actually walk down the inverted pyramid and stand at the bottom.  You can see my wife (with my shadow right next to her) waving up at me.  The one before was a pool that had a multitude of fountains therein which were lit up nicely by the sun during the time of day that we were there.

Again, I hope that all of you who celebrated had a great Thanksgiving.  Thanks for stopping by and see you all tomorrow.

Cliff and James took me there too and it is amazing! You and I have the same taste in that the spiral garden was my favorite as well. Check out my post on it here: http://behindmyeyes.squarespace.com/daily-photo-post/2011/11/27/through-the-portal.html Good stuff Dave!
