Since we’ve been hanging around the same area all week here at HDR Exposed, I figured, why change it up now? I’m posted shots of the Cowboys Stadium and some of the sculptures in the neighboring park, so today I thought I would combine them together. Also featured in today’s post is Cliff Baise, a great photog who I had the pleasure of shooting with on Sunday. Like I said yesterday, I didn’t have my tripod, so the majority of my shots from the trip were handheld. Handheld HDR + night time = higher. Just one more reason to love the D700, the noise control is just awesome.
These are both five shot HDRs processed with Photomatix andCS5. I applied S curves to both shots as well as a little bit of masking on Cliff (to remove the motion blur) and the pillars (to recover some highlights) before loading them into onOne. Both were subjected to the Dreamland, Tonal Contrast, Dark Contrast and Grunge filters at varying levels before finishing them off with Dfine from Nik Software to get rid of a teeny bit of noise.
Thanks for hanging out in Arlington with me this week. Next week we’ll venture to some other parts of Texas. I hope that you all have a great weekend.
These are really outstanding, Dave. I particularly like that second shot with Mr. Baise. Great compositions, man. Have a great weekend!
Really nice work!
Nicely composed and processed Dave. Really like the textures.
Nice work with putting the stadium in the backdrop. Nice work, Dave 🙂
love that blue sky Dave, well done!
The texture of the stones is outstanding, nice job Dave.
Digging that soft focus you have going on with this series.
This has been a great series Dave, shoot me an email or message on what your schedule looks like to get out before the snow hits the fan
Incredible details and outstanding processing Dave!
Great shots Dave…as usual.
Wonderful image Dave. That D700 is sweet!
Great images and composition, love the dreamland effect here
Wow. Everytime I see your photos it makes me want to buy a 700… I am so split. Do I buy a brand new D7000 for half the price and keep my current D7000 as a backup? Do I wait for the D800? Or do I just but a D700!? My only reserve is that it is so old (relatively speaking…). What do you think?? Wonderful shots BTW!
