Well, we’re in that time of year, at least in western Pennsylvania, where the weather decides to be a bit schizophrenic for a few weeks. After having out first snow fall nearly a month ago, we’ve seen swings in the temperatures from the low 40s to the upper 60s. It almost feels like winter is giving way to spring rather than the fall giving way to winter. The last few days have been particularly stormy and rainy, so I thought that these shots would be appropriate for the blog this morning.

I took these over the summer on a photowalk with Pete Talke and Mike Criswell, on a morning not unlike the morning we are having today. Dreary, rainy, though a bit warmer. We moseyed around the North Shore of Pittsburgh, home of 2/3 of the professional sports teams in Pittsburgh, the Pirates and the Steelers, trying to get some early morning skylines of the city. The rain stopped just enough for us to get out and get some good brackets.
Thanks for stopping by this morning everyone. See you all tomorrow.

Our weather is making some pretty wild swings too, 60 yesterday and possibility of 3″ of snow tomorrow! Nice shots today, I really like how the wet pier looks in the first one.

In the UK the weather has been weird all year and winter has not yet arrived here apart from one frost. I love the boards in the first shot and the way the light is reflected in them. Your usual wonderful processing too.
