Steely Christmas

Morning everyone!

Well, I finally got Lightroom working, thanks to fellow photog John Maffei, who was gracious enough to spend an hour on the phone with me troubleshooting the problem.  Turns out it was a permissions issue that occurred when I upgraded to Lion last week.  For some reason, a new user was added to all of my images called ‘Fetching’ which was preventing me from having access to move the pictures around.  I just restored an earlier backup (which was the same as the Lion backup) and voila!  All fixed!  I am loving Lightroom so far, and although it is going to take some time to organize all 60,000+ pictures in my photo library, I think that it will be some time really well spent.

Continuing with the Christmas theme this week (sorry I’ve been digging through the archives so much, just haven’t spent a lot of time on new shots with all the computer issues), this is a series I took last year on a photowalk around town with Pittsburgh photog Brad Truxell.  We headed downtown the weekend after Thanksgiving on a very frigid day to capture some of the festivities in and around the city.  Our first stop (and most productive!) was the Market Square/PPG Place area, where we grabbed some brackets of the ice skating rink and the Christmas tree.  I even threw in a self portrait.  I also snagged a shot of the Christmas tree in the center of downtown on one of the department stores.

Thanks for stopping by this morning folks.  See you tomorrow.
