I know that today’s shot is pretty similar to the one the yesterday, but after going through and processing it last night, I just had to share it! This is one of my favorite panoramas that I’ve done recently, taken from the same spot as the images that I posted yesterday, the Duquesne Incline high atop Mt. Washington. On the right, you can see the city of Pittsburgh and the Point, where the Allegheny (left) and Monongahela (right) Rivers meet to form the Ohio. Right in the center of the frame you can see Heinz Field, home of the Pittsburgh Steelers and to the left of that, the Carnegie Science Center and the Rivers Casino.
I left the skyline a little warped on this one as I didn’t think that it detracted too much from the main scene and added that curvature of the earth feeling that I really liked. Through in a nice mix of clouds, the sun setting over my shoulder to give the whole image a soft glow, and you’ve got yourself one awesome view!
Thanks for swinging by today folks. See you all tomorrow!

Love the warm light on the buildings. Very nice.
Can’t blame you for posting this beauty Dave! Great view in this pano! Well done!
The world is round, so the distortion only makes this feel that much more grandiose. Such a pretty view.
Awesome pano there, Dave. I agree with you that the curvature adds to this. Looks like you took this sometime over the winter.
Very nice Dave!
I like the distortion Dave. Excellent pano.
Terrific pano, man. So much to see from this view and outstanding processing to boot.
