During my week in New York I had a ton of great weather. In fact, the first day and a half that I was there were the only real rainy days. Other than that, the temperature stayed in the high 50s, lower 60s, so it was nice walking around weather. On Saturday however, the first day that I was there, it was very overcast, with even a shower here and there. That morning I was at the Museum of Natural History and after leaving there, I thought that I would take a walk through Central Park, even though it was a bit dreary. Today we have a collection from my walk.

This shot was taken on the north side of the Lake, atop the rocks that are there, which wasn’t the best idea considering that it had just rained!

The famous Mall. I will have a few more of these over the next couple of weeks.

A view of the Pond from just above the subway station along Central Park south.

The path that runs along the pond.
Thanks for stopping by today folks, see you all tomorrow.

Fantastic, all of them! I like that black and white of the Fountain. Very beautiful shot.
Wonderful series of images Dave. I think dreary, rainy days lend themselves to B&W and I think the B&W image today is my favorite…and great POV.
Really cool series, Dave!
I agree with Edith, those dreary days make some great B&W images, but you’ve manage to squeeze out some nice color as well.
Gotta love Central Park, what a great place.
Excellent images Dave. I especially love the fountain. I used to get discouraged when the weather turned south but I really look forward to them to add interest and use nature’s “softbox”.
Like em all, Dave. But the third is my favorite. I like seeing people in shots and your color is nice and punchy. Nice job!.
It may have been gloomy, but the colors still shine brightly! Nice work Dave!
Nice work, Dave! I especially like the shot of the mall. The trees look great!
All beautiful shots…..glad I looked in on you.
I love Central Park. It’s such a nice oasis in the city. I never get tired of looking at the Mall. I can’t wait to get back next week.
Love the look of those trees, all twisted and what-not.
HDR is one of our favorites! this is a joy to watch and admire!
love this series Dave esp the Mall shot!!
