Good morning everyone! I’m still trying to sift through hundreds (well, almost thousands!) of unprocessed photos, so for now we will have to jump back in time for a bit for a couple shots from a little over a month ago. I do have a lot of shots to post of our new home as well, but I am still work on the best way to put them together, so stay tuned for those!

The views that you see here today are from Herrs Island, a little island a few miles down the Allegheny River from Pittsburgh. You don’t see a whole lot of photos from this side of the city and for good reason; the traffic to get out to this area is just atrocious. Between construction, one lane highways and there being one road to get in and out of the city, it is just a nightmare. Plus, most folks are just so enamored with the view from Mt. Washington that they never take the time to shoot from over here. I was there for a meeting with the Pittsburgh Magazine for an upcoming job that I have with them, so I thought that I would get there early and snap a few shots. The first one above is from earlier in the evening, before the storm clouds rolled in. The one that you see directly above was after the meeting a few hours later, with the skies threatening to burst open at any minute. While it didn’t rain, it sure looked like it was going to!

This was the same night that I took all of those shots by PNC Park that I posted a few weeks back, but never posted. This is a view of the Clemente Bridge, which turns into a pedestrian bridge during game days.
Thanks for stopping by today everyone, see you all tomorrow!

Nice shots Dave! Love the clouds in the first one.
Dave, love your shots of the Pittsburgh area. I lived there for 3 years back in the 90′s when Jim Leland and the Pirates had their great run. Loved the culture and people.
Love that third shot! What a sweet POV! Well done Dave
Good stuff Dave. I’m so envious of those clouds right now. I think we are day 40 of boring blue sky here in AZ.
Wonderful series of images Dave and excellent perspectives.
Love the warm light on the buildings in that second shot.
Nice series of images Dave. That first one is killer.
looks great Dave, and love that soft light in the last shot on the bridge!
The skies are killer! Good stuff!
