Morning everyone! Today’s post is a few more shots from Geneva on the Lake in Ohio, where my good photog buddy Theaterwiz got married over the weekend and I had the privilege of being the photographer. I’m still working on all the shots (should have some to post tomorrow) but for now, here are a few shots from before the ceremony, when I was just hanging out on the beach waiting for the wedding to start.

This was my favorite one of the day!

This one didn’t break, just kinda rolled over
Seeing as I live in Pittsburgh, a city with a lot of water but no beaches, I like to take full advantage of a beach situation when it is presented to me, even if it is a small beach for a short amount of time. I noticed that there were a ton of little pebbles just by where the waves (and by waves, I mean mini waves) were breaking, so I threw on the 50mm, got down low and tried to see what I could capture. I was pleasantly surprised with how cool they turned out! It almost looks like they are tilt shots of bigger waves, but they really were just little ripples coming ashore!

I also tossed on the 10 stop ND filter to grab a long exposure. Love how the water looks in this!
Thanks for dropping by today folks! See you all tomorrow!

Good stuff Dave! The tight water shots are very cool!
Amazing what detail turns up when you can get nice and close. Nice shots Dave!
Outstanding detail on these, Dave! I like the close framing on the top 4 shots.
Love the detail in these Dave. Looks so refreshing.
First one was an epic shot man! Like the macro view of waves crashing. Like a tidal wave for ANTS!
Love that last shot. Would like to see it in a contrasty mono version though
Terrific images with wonderful detail Dave.
love the bokeh splashes Dave!
Love those close DOF images! Good stuff!
Fantastic detail shots Dave. The 50mm was made for images like these.
WOW… All are great shots!
