The drop of the puck

Morning everyone!  Remember me?  It’s been quite a long time since I last posted and to be honest, I have no great explanation.  One of my New Years resolutions was to get back on the blogging horse and I still plan on keeping that.  Let’s hope that this is the first step!

Last night I had the awesome opportunity to go to the home opener for the Pittsburgh Penguins at CONSOL Energy Center.  After waiting almost 9 months since my last game because of the NHL lockout, I couldn’t wait to get back into the high energy atmosphere that only Pittsburgh sports fans can generate.  Armed with my new D600 and 15mm f2.8 fisheye lens, I was ready to go.  Although the Pens did lose, getting handed their first loss of the season by the Toronto Maple Leafs, it was great to be back in the company of Pens fans and I was able to get some great shots during the game!  You can check them out below.

Since you are only allowed lenses less than 3″ in the arena, I was limited on my options!  I usually take my 50mm, but decided that the fisheye could be fun too!
